Motor Center
What services do you offer?
We offer comprehensive engine machining services, including cylinder boring and honing, cylinder head and block resurfacing (milling), crankshaft grinding and polishing, valve jobs, and engine block line honing.Do you assemble the whole engine, or just do the machine work?
We provide both services. Our capabilities include individual machining operations as well as complete engine rebuilding, which encompasses disassembly, hot tanking, crack testing, and full long-block assembly. Can you custom-build high-performance or classic car engines?
Yes, we have specialized expertise in blueprinting and building engines for both stock restorations and high-horsepower custom applications, whether for racing or street use.Should I buy the replacement parts, or will you source them?
We can supply high-quality OEM or aftermarket parts on your behalf. Should you choose to provide your own components such as pistons, rings, or bearings, please deliver them with the block to ensure we can machine and size all components to match your specific parts. How much does it cost to rebuild an engine?
Engine rebuild costs vary significantly based on the level of damage, required parts, and engine model. We must complete a thorough cleaning, disassembly, and inspection of all components before providing an accurate cost estimate. How long does the machining and rebuilding process take?
The cleaning and inspection phase typically requires one to two days. A complete engine rebuild usually takes between one and three weeks, with timing dependent on our current schedule and the procurement of any specialty components. What is a "core" and how does it work?
A core refers to your original, rebuildable engine component. When purchasing a remanufactured part or engine, a core charge is applied to the total cost. You receive this charge back upon returning your original, rebuildable component to our facility. How should I prepare my engine before bringing it to the shop?
Ensure all fluids, including oil and coolant, are completely drained from the engine. Remove external accessories such as the intake manifold, alternator, and starter to minimize weight and prevent damage during transportation.
